是時、菊理媛神亦有白事。伊奘諾尊聞而善之。乃散去矣。
黄泉平坂（よもつひらさか）で喧嘩をする伊弉諾（いざなぎ）と伊弉冉（いざなみ） 。
泉守道者（よもつちもりびと）が現れ、「伊弉冉が生き返ることはない」と伊奘諾に話す。
間を割って菊理姫（きくりひめ）が一言、何かを話す。
すると伊弉諾は菊理姫の言葉をあっさり聞き入れ怒りもおさまり、伊弉冉とも仲直りする。
泉守道者と菊理姫に感謝した後、黄泉平坂を後にする。

理は「ことわり」。原理・原則。
古神道はここから始まっているのですよね。
